Remillard Park / Pinnacle Boulders
Remillard is home to some pretty stout toproping (5.10 - 5.11ish mostly, few below), and is in pretty good shape, what with minimal traffic and recent bolts. It's off the beaten path for bouldering, so I went up there a few days ago, just to check it out.
Geology: Volcanic conglomerate. A lot like Cragmont, Pinnacles to the south, and similar to Indian Rock, only with much more texture due to lack of traffic.
In approaching from Poppy lane, front and center is "Sign Wall", the wall with the Remillard sign on it. This is home to some nice bolts, a 5.11ish climb, and a difficult traverse.
Behind/left of that, is the main rock, with a belay pole up top.
Below and to the right of Sign wall is a smaller but still large boulder, with a fingersized crack on it. All of these areas are generally top-roped, and should be considered free-soloing if you go for topping out.
Getting there: Easiest way is drive up Marin Ave. Right on Hilldale, bear left onto Poppy lane. If you're at Cragmont, though, it's just a short walk up Pinnacle Path.
